Slow Circus is the perfect introduction to aerial arts for anyone who wants to learn at a relaxed, supportive pace. This is a multi-apparatus class with a focus on sitting and accessible skills. We will be moving at a super slow pace, taking the time to break down and understand aerial foundations and skills.
If you are nervous or unsure about getting started with circus, or if you struggle with physical activity and just want to feel successful then this class is for you!
Levels available
This class is aimed at the beginner level. No previous circus or aerial experience is required.

What can I expect?
This class moves at a super slow pace, giving you the time to break down each movement and understand the foundations of aerial skills. With a focus on sitting and accessible positions, you’ll explore multiple aerial apparatuses while developing body awareness, strength, coordination, and confidence.
Throughout the course, you’ll have the opportunity to experience:
- Aerial Silks – Two long lengths of fabric used to create beautiful wraps, shapes, and beginner-friendly sequences.
- Aerial Hammock (Sling) – Made from the same fabric as silks but rigged into a loop, creating a supportive swing that makes learning accessible and fun.
- Aerial Hoop (Lyra) – A suspended metal hoop that allows you to explore seated poses, shapes, and gentle movement.
- Aerial Trapeze – A horizontal bar suspended by ropes, offering a supportive apparatus for learning foundational aerial skills and positions.
